Amian Pet Life is a frozen seafood shop on Hunt Club Road in Narre Warren South, run by Riley R Baddack. It began with a simple frustration: in the newer estates around Casey, the nearest proper fishmonger is a twenty-minute drive and the supermarket trays have usually been sitting out for a day.

Ten lines make up the range, and they are the ones we cook ourselves: lobster tails, langoustine, black tiger prawns, mantis shrimp, hairy crab, clams, razor clam, sea snail, squid and sea cucumber. Species and net weight are printed on every pack, and nothing is glazed to make a product look heavier than it is.

Why we sell seafood frozen

A sealed freezer at -18C does not dry shellfish out the way an open display cabinet does, and the texture of a prawn or a lobster tail is almost entirely a question of how steadily it was kept cold.

How an order is packed and sent

Each box gets a foil bubble liner and dry gel ice measured against the weight of the order, not a fixed number of packs, so a two-kilogram box of clams and a single box of lobster tails both arrive hard frozen. Orders are processed in 1 to 3 business days and delivery is estimated at 7 to 14 business days depending on where you are in Australia. Tracking is emailed as soon as the parcel leaves Narre Warren South.

Built for Melbourne's south-east growth corridor

Most of our customers are families feeding four or more, so the packs are sized for a real dinner rather than a restaurant pass. If you are unsure how far a pack goes, the product page gives the net weight and we will answer a question by email the same working day.
